The 10 Highest Mountains in Wales are located in the Snowdonia National Park

1) Snowdon. 1,085m
The highest and most popular mountain in England and Wales. There are six main routes to the top, our favorite is the Snowdon Ranger as it avoids the crowds until you reach the cafe!

2) Crib y Ddysgl (Garnedd Ugain), Snowdon Massif 1065m
Located 1km north of Snowdon at the the end of the Crib Goch ridge with a narrow ridge to the summit

3) Carnedd Llewelyn, Carneddau 1064m
The Carneddau are very different in character to other mountains in Snowdonia with a wide boulder strewn ridge. The popular horsehoe route from Ogwen Valley includes Carnedd Dafydd, Yr Elen and Pen yr Ole Wen

4) Carnedd Dafydd, Carneddau 1044m
Located between Carnedd Llewelyn and Pen yr Ole Wen on the Carneddau ridge

5) Glyder Fawr, Glyderau  999m
Large bolders and rocky outcrops cover the mountain. The classic route route includes Tryfan and Glyder Fawr

6) Glyder Fach, Glyderau 994m
Famous for the cantilever stone that will take the weight of many climbers. The grade 1 scramble Bristly ridge is the fantastic route to the top

7) Pen yr Ole Wen, Carneddau 978m
Pyramid shaped mountain north of the Ogwen valley and the southern end of the Carneddau ridge. The shortest route is from Ogwen cottage

8) Foel Grach, Carneddau 976m
At the northern end of the Carneddau ridge. Foel Grach can either be climbed from Ogwen valley  or from Llyn Eigiau near the Conway valley

9) Yr Elen, Carneddau  962m
Connected to Carnedd Llewelyn by a short ridge

10) Y Garn, Glyderau. 947m
At the northern end of Glyders overlooking Cwm Idwal. Trekking Britain have a fantastic route alongside Llyn Idwal and up the north ridge of Y Garn before descending the wonderfully named Devil’s Kitchen
