Kendal Mountain Festival Films 2014

There was a fantastic selection of films again at Kendal film festival – I have shared trailers and extracts from the winners in each categories. Why not grab a coffee and watch the videos in your favorite comfy chair. If these films don’t inspire you to have great adventures of your own then nothing will!

As The Crow Flies is a new cinematic documentary following a team of 4 as they set a new record for a Lands End to John O Groats expedition. Beeline Britain trekked, mountain biked, cycled and sea kayaked  the length of UK a straight line.

Best Mountaineering Film: Metanoia

Jeff Lowe’s Metanoia is a film about one man’s journey from the top of the world to the end of the line. Jeff helped make climbing what it is today, through technical innovation and more than a thousand first ascents, including “Metanoia” on the north face of the Eiger, where he experienced a spiritual transformation that continues to this day.
